The
Sound of Poetic Sound – Anthony Joseph
Fr
13 October, 5pm, British Council
Before meaning there is the sound of a poem. This will be a fun poetry
workshop with emphasis on sound, a celebration of the word, the main
component of the poem. Students work together to produce experimental
sound-based poems. We will use exercises that emphasize the part sound
plays in poetry, drawing inspiration from surrealism and performance
poetry. Students will be encouraged to bend the rules of grammar, to
just have fun with language.
